For the last 7 years, we, 'The Other People', have been known more for our cover renditions of songs ranging from the 80's to the current day. But now, it's time for everyone out there to look forward to and notice the other side to the band which will include music written and composed by us ourselves!

'Step It Up' is the name of our debut album, that should be up and running by the end of 2011. The album can be classified as a Pop / Rock album with a slight contemporary edge to it. It will include a couple of ballads, some soft rock songs, some absolutely thumping up-tempo & high-energy pop dance songs as well as a couple of anthem like songs, and will basically have a good amount of variation to keep our sound and our songs fresh! We've chosen this name for the album because it's a phrase that is often used to drive us ahead to achieve the bigger targets and goals that we've set for ourselves!

Our dream is to one day absolutely capture the Indian market and slowly but surely move on to the International scene and wow them as well and hopefully do what no other band out of this country has managed to do! For this to happen we, as the band, need to take things to the next level, put in that extra work and basically 'Step It Up''!

The first song that we are almost done with is a song written by us together called 'Love me for a lifetime'. As the name suggests, it is a ballad that we put together which has a soft rock feel to it and at the same time a commercial feel, which hopefully one day we can hear the crowds and audiences singing along with us! It's one of those guitar driven songs with a very catchy riff and a simple, yet interesting melody running through it! The climax of the song comes at the end with the lyrics "Love me for a lifetime, not just for today"- Definitely a song to look forward to! This is the first song that will be released hopefully in the next few weeks, and as soon as it is, you can be sure to catch it on this website, so stay tuned! Moving on, the next couple of songs that we have already started working on are 'Walk On' which has a more modern & contemporary feel to it; followed by a song called 'Wings of an Angel', which is one of those synth-driven, thumping, high-energy pop dance songs! More news on these songs and the rest in the coming days and weeks! But we assure you that this album is something you guys and girls should definitely watch out for, because we're really excited about it and we hope that we get the support we need form all of you out there!
